On a vacation in Florida, I saw similar lamps (not the same model) in my hotel. I liked the convenience of the power outlets (cell phone & laptop recharging) on the desk lamp base. This item was the closest match that I could find. While the price seemed a bit more than I preferred, the quality matched the price. I purchased two of them and am very satisfied.

This is a quality product that is very sturdy and solid. The one issue that I have with it is the button that turns the lamp on and off. It is very difficult to push down. I got 2 of the lamps, one for my side of the bed and my wife's side. Pushing the button is really annoying. I recently stayed at a Hyatt and they had an electric outlet in the base and the button was very simple to flick on and off. I like the look, it's well put together, but I'm a bit bummed out about the button. The push button on the base and built in outlets make this the most functional night stand lamp out there. It's beautiful on top of that!
