Purchased this for daughter to use in a college dorm. Sound quality is about what you'd expect for the price, not bad but not concert hall. Similar unit available for sale at Target retail stores would not accept her 4th generation Ipod, this unit works fine with it. I order stuff from Amazon often(probably too often) and I am generally always pleased with the quality of products and the timeliness of the deliveries. This lamp is the exception. JUNK. So cheaply made that the neck that supports the lamp, isn't strong enough t support it, it just slumps to the desk. The metal frame did not hold the weight of the head. When I switched it on it made a buzzing noise and flickered (as if its short circuiting). After I switched it off it had a burning smell. Don't buy this lamp.
