I am a Lava Lamp freak, and have purchased several of the classic style wax-filled lamps on Amazon in the past. But I was looking for something a bit different to use in my living room and this caught my eye. It is made by Lava Lamp, so I gave it shot. I absolutely love the lamp! I have a fairly large living room, with very high vaulted ceilings, and have this lamp on an end table in the corner of the room. It gives off a slightly reddish glow, but does provide quality light to see by also.

This lamp is very unique-looking, and a definite conversation piece. It is features solid chrome and a real glass shade. The shade is more red than burgundy however, especially when illuminated, contrary to most pictures. My only complaint is the flimsy plastic socket, which should have been ceramic, given the otherwise solid build of this lamp.
