I am using a pair of them on my kitchen bar. I love them because they are so thin, attractive and unobtrusive visually and physically. If these lights flicker it is a simple adjustment in the base where the cord plugs into. There is a little prong in the base and all you have to do is spread it apart a smidgen and the flickering will go away. It is too bad that these lamps have this problem, but it is a very easy fix. So if you read people complaining about these lights flickering just remember how I told you to fix it. These lights give off is brilliant and attractive light that covers a large work area of a desk or in my case on my kitchen bar. The light makes things look very attractive. It is a very pleasing light. I like the little toggle switch at the base to turn them on and off. Real nice and convenient.

nice lamp with no bulb needed. Its has a nice weight to it and you can bend it for your purposes. simple to use and set up. if it last me more than 3 years maybe 6 its cool for that price. it was 45 dollars.

The light is tall so it can shine light down on the subject. Excellent quality and looks good too. I highly recommend this light if you need more intense light on whatever you are doing. I like everything about this light except the fact that every evening after it's been on awhile it blinks on and off several times, then it will come back on and work fine. I've checked to make sure the cord isn't loose and it's OK. Other than that the light is great. Looks good on my desk and provides just the light I need.
