This unit's sound activation stopped working after 5 minutes. One could say that for 6 dollars, what can you expect? And I can reply that if a company sells something, no matter how cheaply, then it should perform as described. I would have rather had the two 4" green tubes for easier placement, better coverage, and the same price, had I known the sound activation wasn't going to work. That being the case, the light is bright and deep neon green. Note too that this light is 15" long, so make sure you can fit it in your case. Check out the Logisys LED lights too. They are really bright, dark green, and very small. In summary, the light works well and is a deep, dark neon green, but the sound activation is a gimmick.

Edit 11/17/10: I contacted Citi Electronics and they asked me to send only the module and back plate so they could test it. That's cute, since it cost me more to ship it back than a new item. I did it anyway because I don't like being taken advantage of.
They said they tested it and it worked fine (yes of course it does). They sent another module and back plate. I plugged it in and the light would not even come on. Emailed them again, got a response that they would contact their technical department. That was 11/15/10 and no reply as of yet.
It's a 6 dollar item. They should have just replaced it. Really bad support from this seller.

Edit: 11/19/2010 Still no reply so I turned it over to Amazon. I'll write back again. In any event, beware this seller.

Edit: 11/22/2010 I received two new cathode light systems from another vendor today. With three new cathode lights and two new modules, one from Logisys and one from PC Toys, I can now test the module CiTi Electronics sent back to me. Indeed, the module they sent me is bad and will not light any of the cathode lights, including the light that came with it. The light that came with it works perfectly with the new modules. This, all over a 6 dollar item.

Once this CC light arrived, it only took me 5 minutes to install.Everything plugs in easily; they even give you a molex splitter so that way you dont completely take up a whole molex connector for the light.
After setting up, this CC light is BRIGHT! It blends nicely with my blue case fans and the sound sensitive inverter works perfectly, assuming you install it facing outwards on air holes in your case.
In a nut shell, this was a great purchase hands down.
Honest reviews on Logisys 15" Green Deluxe Sound Activated CCFL Kit
If you are considering the purchase of this item, you already have some idea what you want it to do. The sound sensitivity of this little gadget is adjustable. I would suggest getting at least two of these if you are looking to use this with any item that offers stereo sound, or if you simply want to set two levels of sensitivity to have the lights flash to different beats in the music.Look up on YouTube "how to" videos on connecting these lights, because there are no actual printed instructions included with the product.
If you need knowledgeable people, consider some place like Radio Shack or a car stereo installation place for what you might need for power sources for your molex connectors or where inside your computer chassis you can find a molex connection. You don't need someone to do it for you. You simply need someone to show you where the connections are located.
Be mindful that if you choose to connect two lights to the same sound sensor, the lights will flash in simultaneously. They will only flash to separate speakers (stereo) or to separate "beats" in the music (instruments vs vocals) if you use an individual sensor for each light kit (included with each kit).
Also included with each kit are adhesive velcro mounting strips, screws and smaller mounting tabs. These are really good for mounting the sound sensor box and switch plate. The adhesive velcro mounting tabs are for mounting the actual lights in the location of your choosing.
Is it cool? Yes. Is it safe for your equipment? ONLY IF YOU KNOW HOW TO PROPERLY HOOK IT UP!
