I bought this because I was looking for a bright lamp that would not be harsh. This is perfect. I also like that it is mid-century modern style.
The reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the first lamp shade was badly scratched and should not have left the factory. i put the lamp together before even noticing that because it is dark in the room that needs a lamp. what a pain. I had to take it apart again and do the whole refund thing. At least they did that. If you are feeling unlucky you might want to do your shopping in a real store so you know what you are buying. If you buy it, make sure to inspect it before putting it together.

Only have had it a few days . Seems well built. Light is strong but not overpowering. Floor switch is handy. Base could be bigger. My floor is wonky and would be nice to have it be a bit more stable.Best Deals for Lite Source LS-81537 Kateb Floor Lamp, Polished Steel with Dark
yes, this lamp is very cool, for this price it looks amazing, it gives good light, it's really very good. I love it in my house!
