Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I needed a lamp to put on my office desk so I could turn off the overhead lights as they were too harsh. This little lamp did the job. It lights my workarea with a soft light.

The lamp is an old white color with a shade to match. It came with a lightbulb so I did not have to search for one. I liked the fact that it has a switch on the cord to turn the light on/off.

Overall, this is a good little lamp that really gives light very evenly.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I like the way this lamp blends the modern with the antique. The shade has a modern Nikki-like but taller design while the base is an antique-looking white with a matt finish that could almost be from another time. Somehow, the two styles together (the contemporary and the traditional) just work to create an elegant lamp that will enhance a lighter-colored room that needs the lighting.

We put ours on my husband's bed-side table as the lamp, half-contemporary though it is, seems to "match" the more traditional-looking lamp on my bedside table and I have to say, it looks great. It's also quite handy there as the on-off switch is on the cord itself which means my husband will not have to reach "into" the lamp to turn it on or off.

The only thing I noticed that's a slight minus (and the reason I am not giving it five stars) is a slight buzzing sound when we put in the energy-saving light bulb that came with the lamp. Now the noise seems to be dying down and, should it end completely with time, I will update this review and the rating accordingly. But even so, I have to say that I would recommend this lamp.

The lamp were very cheaply made and very small. They would have worked in a nursery. I fill one would make a great night light with a low wattage bulb

I received one of the two Normande table lamps I ordered and I really like it! It was packaged well for its journey to my home in South Korea. Assembly was a snap and it included the CFL light bulb! The lamp is a nice weight and looks very vintage. And it throws a considerable amount of light from the 13 watt CFL bulb. It also has an inline light switch which is handy to have on a lamp with a narrow conical shade. I like it very much! Perfect for my guest room night stands! And the price can't be beat, either.
