i wont recommand anyone to buy things from this company. the thing is made w cheap material and its broken on the base of the lamp when i open the package, when i requested a refund they ask me for $25 restocking fees and they asked me to ship myself at my own cost. i mean i paid hundreds for the lamp. i felt it didnt worth it any allllll. and their customer service is really bad. they promised to call me back but they didn't.

i wont buy their products any more

Do not order this lamp! This lamp is extremely cheap in quality. Not only did my lamp NOT WORK, but it also arrived with a broken base. The box it came in also arrived with a huge rip on one side. I had high hopes for this lamp. At the very least, I expected it to work. Now I have to go through the hassle of sending it back.

Back when we were living in Paris I saw it and I fell in love but our apartment was not fit to this type of lamp, so I decided to wait.

if you are into chic style this is the one for you. I just saw the Kartell one in a store and to me it is the same quality. Perfect light, perfect everything. I will get another one for my office but in a small size.

I'm so happy to find LexMod's selling the Bourgie lamp (on Amazon) for a fraction of the price of Kartell. Kartell's version is $385 which I cannot afford or want to spend on a lamp.

Note that I'm writing review for LexMod's and Kartell's Bourgie lamp version that is 14.5" wide x 14.5" deep x 29" high since this lamp has a half-size version as well. This version uses 3 light bulbs which are not included, the half-size version--one.

Kartell's version is also acrylic, so I highly doubt that it'll look any better from LexMod's. Speaking of acrylic, don't set your expectations for the lamp too high since acrylic tends to look "cheap" (for the lack for better words) under florescent lights. In my ideal world, this lamp would be made out of crystal and still cost the same.

Mind you, this acrylic lamp carries its own style weight. The acrylic defuses and reflects light almost like crystal, and the lamp looks amazing for that. The cord is an eyesore, but you'll adjust.

Overall, it's the better alternative for those of us who don't want to waste too much money on a designer lamp.

Cannot find enough words to explain how i am happy with the lamp. it dominates my living room with our without its light on, a good quality product, a must have if you like eclectic objects.
