I noticed this little lamp in a thrift store in new condition, I paid $2 + tax for mine. It throws a lot of light, stands about a foot tall, approximate dimensions are 12"x3"x3". It will come in very handy working on computers under the desk, or other electronic projects on the desktop. The top, which houses the fluorescent bulb, folds out and switches the light on. The light can swivel from open to a full 180 degrees (straight up) although, I'm sure I'll use mine more at a 90-120'ish deg angle. The housing itself is all silver plastic as is the handle, but it seems like a sturdy little unit. Another advantage is that it runs much cooler than older desk lamps with traditional bulbs. Would probably work great for taking product photos in dim lit rooms. Replacement bulbs bearing the name "Naturalight" logo for this lamp are expensive, around $15 USD -I haven't checked to see if there are other bulbs on the market that would work.
A nifty lamp for all kinds of projects, but I would not spend nearly $50 for one. Made in China.
Giving it 4 stars for the good.
Minus 1 star for the price and replacement bulb cost.
