It didn't come with the lamp and the bulb recommended to me didn't fit inside it. It was four weeks before I was even able to turn it on. Assembly was simple, but it has these plastic rings that hold the cable to the pole, one of which broke before I even had the cable in it.
Otherwise, it's an okay lamp. It does the job.

I bought two of these for work and after five weeks of intermittent searching after work, finally found the bulb type for these guys.Bulb is intermediate base. NOT candelebra, NOT standard (for those as frustrated as I am about finding the right bulb).
The only reason this product gets a two star is because it is made of real metal (except the part that counts -the enclosure).

This lamp is nice for task lighting. It is perfect for a bit of extra light on my crafts, and my friend likes it for carving.They are sold by IKEA for $3.99, and comes without the bulb. I'd suggest getting a 25 watt bulb (the maximum size to avoid fire hazard), as the ones sold by IKEA (7 watt fluorescent) were not all as bright as I'd like AND the other halogen ones IKEA offered (25 watt) burned out fairly quickly. Check the size of the base carefully, as it is a smaller one than the standard light bulb.
