This is a fabulous lamp for the price!!! And the brightness is ok
The appearance is well finished, high-tech, sleek. And the quality of light and controls are superb. There are 3 tint settings, and in each setting you can adjust the 5 levels brightness.
The light emitted is fairly soft and constant, no flickering here
Definitely recommend as a desk lamp.

After reading the description and comparing the brightness listed to a regular bulb, I expected this lamp to be a lot brighter than it is. The description is very misleading, this is not a desk lamp, this is a task lamp only. It only shines light directly down from where it's positioned. It does not brighten a room in any way, shape or form. I had purchased this lamp to use in my office and expected it to brighten that entire side of my office based on the description. All it does is shine light on that corner of my desk, no place else. The settings are great and I do appreciate that there five different intensities and three different types of light settings, although the yellow one is extremely distracting and I'm not sure what you would ever use it for. it works well and I like it. but it's not 5-level brightness, but 4-level. other specifications are as described. .
