I took a chance on this product which had no reviews and am very pleased. Some LEDs have a weird greenish or blueish tinge, but this really has outstanding light. It is a moderately focused spot, neither narrow nor wide. It is more of a bight white than a warm color and is very similar in color to the Halogen light it replaced. I highly recommend this product.

This LED lamp works as advertised. I use it to illuminate a full size keyboard and I am happy with the brightness. I have a couple of reservations:

1. The goose neck is too soft, a slight bump knocks it out of position.

2. There is a potential safety hazard. It plugs into a 110V outlet with a 2-prong plug, no ground pin. The power cord and switch are well insulated, but the power cord passes through a hole in the clamp and it connects to a pair of thin wires which go into the goose neck. The joint is insulated with what appears to be black electrical tape. If the joint were to come into contact with the metal clamp it would become a shock hazard. For safety, the lamp should be plugged into a GFI (ground fault interrupter) socket.

I bought this for one of my daughters and loved it so much that I got 2 more for the rest of the family. It is a great reading light for bed and it gives off a very pleasant and bright light. We shine it up to the ceiling and it lights up the room just enough for the evening.

I bought two lamps for my wife and I to supplement our night reading lights. The goose necks are indeed so weak at the clips that I was forced to fasten them to the wall to allow us to focus them properly. Regardless, they work so well I am will to overlook said short coming. Then one decided to work on its own schedule. Usually during the day when I have no use for it. I suppose that the one that chose to lose its mind lives on my side of the bed is Karma come to roost, but this really blows. Closer inspection shows many interesting manufacturing anomalies. Kinked wires, bent heat sink fins, puzzuling wiring harness.

I have to be honest, at $20 a shot, I am going to by another one to replace the failed one. Caveat Emptor.
