Material and look of light is great...simple and more industrial looking. However though the glass shape is as shown in the picture, the texture is not. The description only says 'frosted glass shade'. It is frosted, however it also has ridges. I was not expecting this and do not think it goes with the look of the light. It seems more of a traditional shade. I went to Home Depot to get replacement shades in the same color/frosting, but that are smooth.
