I purchased 2 of these identical lamps for a bedroom from Pier 1, where they are almost half the price. It is very elegant and I substituted a rough cream-colored linen shade for the gold-leaf shade that came with it.
The original shade is lovely but was too cocoa-taupe for my color scheme, otherwise it was great. (The background is not as golden as it looks in the photo) The leaves are indeed real gold leaf.
