I got this lamp for my nightstand. I thought from the picture it was black but it is actually a dark brown, and the lamp shade is more of a light beige than white which is not a huge issue for me, but if you are looking for an exact match in colors than be warned. I really like the square design base on this lamp which was one of the reasons I chose it. I don't really care for some the traditional round bases which have a bulky look to me. Aesthetically, I like the the square minimalist Japanese design which looks a lot nicer with my bedroom set. I will say the texture of the metal base is a little rougher than I expected. I thought it would be a smoother, more polished bronze. It's also not solid metal all way through which could be an issue in terms of quality and durability, guess only time will tell. Another selling point for me was the fact that it holds a three way bulb, which gives me the option of adjusting light level, a feature I find I require a lot more in my bedroom than other rooms. The shade that comes with the lamp is larger than I expected but it still works well for my nightstand. I just hope it lasts.

I was looking for matching lamps for my bedroom nightstands. These lamps are perfect. The lampshade is a rectangular shape which I prefer because it isn't bulky and doesn't take up a lot of room on my nightstand. I also like the satin nickel finish. There is a square cutout that allows you to see through the base of the lamp, which makes it look less bulky and more like a contemporary art piece. This lamp uses 3 way bulbs, so I can adjust the lighting and make it dim and soothing before going to sleep. I am very happy with this purchase.

Great simple three way light. Liked the first one so much, I bought a second one. I use three way CFU bulbs in both. Plain but simple but good value for the price.

The lamp looks good, but I was expecting better quality for the price. It turns out that the lamp is completely hollow inside the framework and feels like plastic (not sure if it is).

Also worth noting that the lamp is a brown/bronze color and not the darker blackish color that is pictured.

It looks good, though, even though it's cheap.
