This is a very nice and attractive lamp. I especially like the faux marble. The lamp is designed for a 3-way bulb, so you can have low atmospheric light or brighter light for reading. A good deal for the price.

I was very impressed with quality of the lamps. Just painted our living room and they look great. My husband even commented that he liked them. Good deal for lamps under $70.

I would not recommend paying full price for this lamp. It IS pretty, but the faux marble is very faux looking. The painting technique is nice, but do not expect it to look like marble. There were some places on the bronze finish that I had to touch up with a dark brown Sharpie because it had some "marble" paint on it. Also, because of another customer's review, I was expecting it to have a 3-way switch. Obviously it did in the past (2009), but not mine (delivered Oct 8, 2012), and that was a big disappointment because I wanted the lamp for romantic ambiance as well as reading. The shade is really nice and elegant, as are the carvings on the base. All in all I am very pleased with the lamp at the "on sale" price I paid. However, if I had paid full price, I would have been quite disappointed and probably returned it. UPDATE (two days later): I bought a lamp dimmer switch at Lowe's and installed it (simple to do!!), so now I have the option of low light or bright light. I'm so excited about it that I'm going to get dimmer switches for two other lamps I have! :)

This is a fine-quality, beautiful lamp. It looks good in my formal living room and definitely worth the money. This is for the serious decorator and meant to last for years.
