Daylight Slimline Combination Table Clamp Lamp

This seller has promised to bundle two items usually sold separately: 1) the lamp itself with a clamp to attach to a table, and 2) a round base so that the lamp can sit on top of a table or desk. The seller, Maxi-Aids, shows a photo of the base, lists the base as being included, and charges for both.

When we received the item, the round base was not included. So far, the seller has not responded to my complaint, has not addressed the problem, and I still don't have the base I paid for.

I will update this review if we ever receive the round base.

I bought this lamp to use for photography examination. My prints can be as large as 17x22 inches. For accurate color viewing I needed a daylight color temperature lamp. This light of the lamp does this well. I liked the brushed finish (nickle?) and the minimalist design. The clamp is sturdy and adequate for attaching to a desk edge. The separate lamp base (4 lbs) is just the right weight to have a stable lamp. The lamp has two adjustable sections that allow for many lighting angles. I needed my viewing angle to be at the bottom of the photograph with the glare on the image directed away from me. The slim design makes this easy and does not obscure my viewing. The only negative i have (and it is not the fault of the lamp) is that I would have liked it to be perhaps 50% brighter. Even so, it provides enough light for even my larger photos. So I'm good with it.

Regarding the other review about not receiving the base with his order, i had a similar experience but it was resolved quickly. As he stated, the base is clearly indicated in the product description and in the picture. I ordered anyway thinking it was an anomaly. I got free shipping that took a week to get here. No complaint there. But it arrived with no base. I called Maxi-Aids customer service. Got through on first attempt. I explained the issue and was promptly, albeit a bit curtly, transferred to the Amazon rep. WIthin 30 minutes my call was returned by a friendly and professional Maxi-Aids rep who explained it was a warehouse error and that they would ship the base to me. Two days later and at no cost to me, I received the lamp base via Priority USPS.
