The lamp arrived quickly and looks far better than we hoped for! We're delighted because it so beautifully sets off a new accent chair and side table in our living room. Have received many compliments on it. The base is not extremely heavy so there is a risk of tipping. We have placed it in a low-traffic area and set it on the far side of the table to minimize this possibility. Another negative is that the neck of the lamp is covered in a bone colored plastic and protrudes a few inches below bottom of shade. We can easily live with it. You get what you pay for. The shade wouldn't sit straight, but we were able to easily maneuver the harp to level it. We decorated the shade with a thin strip of cranberry-colored gross grain ribbon at top and bottom to compliment a rug in the room and that really makes it look rich. Hope this is helpful. Would purchase again!

Just what I needed for night time reading. Matching lamps on matching night tables. Good quality. Highly recommend! Except lamp shades are a little too dark. Switched shades from 2 other matching lamps, problem solved. Love that it's not a 3 way switch.
