The lamp is supposed to be a table lamp. It came with the bottom for a table lamp and the top for a floor lamp. There is no way to screw in the two pieces because there is a long cord attached to the top piece. Plus, there is a little plastic piece that secures the base to the tube and it came loose, so now the tube swivels around and is impossibe to remove.
