This is a cute lamp for adding atmosphere to a room. It's not the highest quality, but seems adequate for the price. My daughter, age 6, thought the color cycling setting was very pretty and she was excited at the idea of using this lamp in her room. Unfortunately, the light isn't strong enough to be a reading light; apparently, the online description saying there is a bright, white light option means "bright" as in that kind of icy blue-white light rather than "bright" as in strong.
