Ordered as table lamps. As an aside, when the order didn't arrive as expected I contacted Amazon and they immediately issued a replacement. The delay was the fault of UPS and I ended up with two orders of which Amazon couldn't have been more helpful in getting the extra returned. The lamp works fine and doesn't use some fancy, hard to find bulb. For awhile you'll think it looks sleek and modern and then one day you'll look at it and think it looks like a roll of paper towels. Once your mind has that thought you can't get it out of your head.

This is a great light. It comes with a flourescent bulb, but I opted for a regular bulb so I could use a dimmer and to get a nicer glow. It's sturdy and looks expensive. I bought a dimmer that you plug the light into, which works great.
