I've always loved mica lampshades. This lamp has a beautiful dark quarter-sawn oak base trimmed with iron, not pot-metal, 2 chain pulls. It is as handsome as any period mission styled lamp at a fraction of the antique price. Arrived well-packed and in good shape.

A nice looking lamp. Perfect for my rustic end tables. My only issue is that the supplied bulbs, CFL, are a little bright for the translucent mica shade. The bulb is visible though it, as the shade will not diffuse the bright spot enough. Otherwise, very interesting design. I'll work on bulb selection until I get the look I want. Ed

There is no real wood on these and the only metal is the cheap tin that holds the fake lampshade together. The amazon ad has several false claims in it and we spent over $300 on two of them. These are thirty dollar lamps at best and we are quite upset about this.

When you look close you can see the wood grain plastic sheet that was put over the resin to make it look like wood. workmanship is crap. For $171 they should at least be real wood. Do not be misled by the description, no wood here and they should refund $300 since the value of these is around $25ea. It is a shame that we took faith in Amazon to get us a good product as described!. Amazon failed this time.
