This lamp is made in China and is of reasonably good quality. The base is plastic with ceramic mosaic and the shade is glass. The fit of the light post from base to shade is too long and the finial doesn't sit properly on top of the post and the post is difficult to adjust to correct this. I've seen this on two: The one I own and one at Lamps Plus. I bought this same lamp off a dealer on Ebay two years ago for $89.95 plus $20.00 freight. At this Dealer's price the lamp is inferior quality in relation to the price. Nice lamp and very pretty when it's the only light in the room.
