A stylish contemporary design with two light bulbs (and two separate metal-bead draw strings) make this Begum table lamp well worth the price. The body actually feels like metal and not wood, though I'm not positive, but it sure feels sturdy and should last a long time. The beautifully unique short but wide lamp shade is top class, though there were just a couple of small indentations in it, even though it seemed to be packed well. I have no regrets for getting this beautiful lamp, and it actually seems bigger than I had imagined. I added photos to help you see how nice it looks on a side table. If I were to change anything it would be a longer power cord.
**edit side note, I paid $146.26 for this on Amazon, and not a week later it dropped to $80.42. So if you can get it for that price DO SO... somewhat angry but that's how I goes, I guess.
