I ordered two of these lamps to use on a dresser. I received them... they were well packaged and they were beautiful! When I went to put them to use, however, one of the lamps had a defective switch. I was devastated because I don't normally pay this much for a lamp! I immediately got in touch with Amazon and they worked promptly to correct this problem. (I reported the problem yesterday and the replacement lamp should come today!) I do realize that sometimes there are problems with products, and that is totally acceptable as long as the seller stands behind their products. Amazon was amazing in how they handled this problem! I will defintely do business with Amazon again and, I will recommend them to others, as well! Once both lamps are in place, I will be a happy camper and look forward to using them for years to come!

When I ordered this I was a bit worried that it looked so 'chunky' and wide, since the photo shows just the wide side and I couldn't visualize what the "oval" would look like... so I was pleasantly surprised that the lamp was significantly narrower when viewed from the end. On the wide side, the porcelain is about 7" wide, where the narrow side ranges from about 2" to 5." It looks very elegant.I bought it about 9 months ago, and I've been very happy with it. I like that you can change the look merely by turning the lamp to different angles. It feels well made and functions as it should. I'm very happy with this purchase! The Lamp Store was very customer-friendly and I felt like I got very personalized service from it's really friendly staff. I highly recommend this product and the Lamp Store.
