It's an alright lamp, gives off a nice wrinkled paper look to the room. The foot switch is about 12" away from the base of the lamp so you'll have to take that into consideration of you plan on putting this on a table top. The metal pole is standard lamp metal so I had to bend it around a bit to have it stand up straight.

I bought Ikea's lamp before, and this one pales. The lamp shade material is a weird plastic, not even close to the look & feel of rice paper. Granted, it was an assumption( of the quality & texture) of the shade. It also has One Bulb, and it's standard size, perhaps a benefit to some, (as apposed to the usual 3 candelabra bulbs required).Bottom is heavy to prevent tip over, which is good.

Easy to put together. Any light bulb works so you can set the mood you're looking for easily. Looks pretty. The shade as described is paper but pretty sturdy. I love it. Easy on off switch. Good buy.
