I bought 4 of them, and the lamps are fine. The cords are long, and it takes a small bulb like halogen spot light size.
Only problem is: the included bulb's quality is really bad & the first one I installed exploded with such a bang after 10 minutes that the shattered glasses were everywhere! I didn't want to go through the hassle of returning it if I could help it, so I put on a better bulb to see, and it works fine now.
