I was a bit disappointed when my wife opened this as a Christmas present last year. I thought I was buying her a stained glass lamp. The box was really heavy so I thought it would be fine. Turns out, the "glass" is a thick hard plastic. Don't get me wrong though, this is still a really nice lamp. Perhaps a bit pricey for plastic vs glass, but still a nice lamp. Well built and bright. It looks great on the nightstand.

I love the lamp, it is heavy enough that my cat can't knock it over, the colors and pattern is pretty. I do wish something had been said about it being made in China. I might have made chosen other lamps.
