Bought in July, used 24 hours a day and the three way feature stopped working at the beginning of September,still has one setting.

I went with this bulb because none of the CFLs offered a comparable range. The 30 watt setting is dim enough for comfortably watching movies or playing video games, while the 70 watt is more than enough light for our small living room. I don't generally need the 100 watt setting, which is quite bright. Pleasant, soft light that isn't too harsh or white.

These have always been one of my favorite 3-ways.

A nice 30 watt low setting for ambiance.

Then, depending on your eyes, 70/100 makes a good choice.

Always liked the nice warm glow these bulbs produce.

bought 2 of these at a local wal mart store. maybe these bulbs were sub-standered but i doubt it. anyway the first one blew out about a day ago. the 30 watt coil blew with a big flash then a few hours later the 70 watt coil blew when i turned the lamp on leaving me in complete darkness. to top that off the other bulbs 30 watt coil started flickering. and just so you know these ge bulbs used to be good bulbs but now they are real bad
