I was looking for a floor lamp that was fairly tall, with a stylish base and shade. The shade's finish looks and feels silky. The color is a medium brown, which does offer a good amount of light using a 100 watt bulb. (The lamp doesn allow for up to 150 wattage however.) The price is reasonable based on the quality.
I highly recommend this floor lamp.
