We purchased this lamp because it looked nice and had a table for our drinks and it works perfect for the area we needed it! Is very stable and well worth the price. Have gotten several compliments on it.We're very happy with this lamp. It's a nice size and ideal for using by a reading chair. I wish re stem were dark metal v painted but it's still very nice looking
