This is a terrific contemporary floor lamp which cost half what I saw it for on home center websites. The circle pattern of the shade is bold, but because it is monochromatic with the rest of the lamp it doesn't overwhelm the room. I was impressed with how heavy and well constructed the lamp is. There is a top diffuser which softens the upward light, and the separate pulls allow you to adjust the downward light as well. There are even two CFL bulbs included, which is a very thoughtful touch. I liked this floor lamp so well I plan to buy the matching table lamp.
