I got this lamp for our computer desk. It's got some weight to it, and seems well made. The bottom of the lamp has felt, so it's won't scratch any surfaces. The shade is a nice true bronze color. Its a nice addition to any home.

This lamp is a little smaller than I had imagined it. Of course that's not anyone's fault but my own. I expected the mica shade to be smooth, but it has a fine, pebbly texture. I wanted a little table lamp for my Bonus Room. This is perfect. I borrowed different table lamps from my bedroom and office and put them in the bonus room just to see what they would look like but they were too bright. I was looking for a warm feel, not too bright, and not so dark like a night light either. This was perfect, it gives the room a lovely homey feel with an nice Ember glow and the Lamp also contrasts nicely with the Earth tone furnishings I have in this room.
