I use these 26 watt CFL light bulbs in a lamp where I only desire a little light..... more than a little night light, but if all of the CFL bulb makers are trying to trick us into believing or accepting these as yielding as much light as a 100 watt incandescent lightbulb, they're not fooling me! Like I mentioned I use this as a step above a night light and they are just fine for my purpose. Truthfully, comparing the brightness of these 26 CFLs to an incandescent bulb, it would be equal to about 40 watts of light. I'm giving this a 4 Star rating only because it is serving one particular purpose for me, not because of it's brightness.

although it says specifically that these are dimmable, the package clearly says not to be used in dimmers. don't waste your time.
