I bought a set of lamps 3 years ago, and I found out when I got home that 1 did not have a knob, so I never was able to use it. I went to a lamp store and they were charging 20 bucks just for 1!!! I bought these off Amazon hoping that it would fit, and they are exactly like the ones the lamps came with, woohoo! And now I have 1 extra knob for back-up :)

These knobs work great, and the attachment parts are fine. However, they are made of the same cheap plastic as the original knobs, and I know that I will be replacing them in a few years, regardless of how gentle I am with them. I've seen other knobs threaded with copper or some other metal, which would last forever (like some of the finely made 30and 40plus-year-old lamps that I and friends own). I hate to say this, but I think we Americans have had to become used to junk, which I never saw in the European countries where I've lived. Plastics, nylons and all kinds of polymers can be so sturdy and long-lasting that it's a pity to fill up the earth with things that are cheap and break so easily. I'm grateful to have found these knobs, but sad that they aren't better quality. On another note, I had to use tweezers to get the broken knobs off, but these went on just fine.
