Not quite as tall as I expected, but I was happy about that. Uses two smaller bulbs (chandelier type bulbs) instead of a larger bulb. Gives off a perfect amount of light for a desk or cubicle (which is what I am using it for), and looks very well made and industrial. Switch to turn it on and off is on the actual wire. Would not recommend for a night stand or for a end table, but for what it is, it is perfect for what I need it for.

This lamp is really cute. I bought two of them for my living room and they look awesome in it. It is exactly as pictured. I love that it came with bulbs. It does require assembly, but I didn't even use the directions and set it up in under 3 minutes. I will update if anything goes wrong but don't see that happening.
