This lamp lived up to expectations...it is beautiful and appears to be very well constructed (even the shade seems upscale). I needed a nice lamp for my mahogony sideboard and this works very well. The height is perfect (not too tall) for the space and it adds a touch of elegancee to the room! It offers the ambient light we were looking for when dining...and. we are even able to use it for indirect light in the adjoining livingroom when watching tv....its perfect!
