This was a gift to my Mom for her 91st birthday. She loves to practice her piano but it was getting difficult to read the sheet music, as her eyesight is not as good as it used to be. I got this for my husband, and it is a perfect piano lamp. It's heavy, sturdy, and doesn't fall over like other, less well-made lamps do. He has gotten a lot of use out if it since we got it. This light matched the color of our piano (black), is large enough to reach over any book, and gives adequate light. It will save us from having to turn on larger lights in the room.
