It seems to work OK but is advertised as an 8" plasma ball. The outside dimensions of the box are 7" and the ball itself is 7", and the box says "7 Inch Disco Fever Plasma Ball".So I'm thinking it's not really 8". Idiots.

Purchased this plasma ball for my son for Christmas, it stopped working with two weeks. This purchase was a major disappointment.
