I spent a lot of time on-line looking at reviews, and settled on this device. My use is general, when I need a moderate controlled heat for a long period. The wick extender works reasonable well, although there is a little 'wobble' to it (the reason it didn't get 5-stars). For the price, it is very suitable.

The lamp works as you would expect for an item of this price:

The flame burns, but the adjustment of the wick is not convenient.

When I turn the adjustment wheel, it often has no grip, and it takes several attempts, wiggling around.

I decided on this lamp because of the adjustable wick and the snuffing cap. Compared to some of the reviews i read about other lamps, this one is really good. I got it and the wick adjusts just fine, doesnt get stuck and it holds a good amount of alcohol. There may be a small leak if i were to turn it upside down, although idk as i haven't tried and have no need to. Very satisfied with this alcohol lamp.

Well it didn't really take long for it to arrive and it's still good to have but I'm not sure if the lid is suppose to close crooked and I'm not too worried about it because it is close tightly.
