This is a cheap dual lava/glitter lamp but no cheaper than most other lava lamps you'll find. Ironically the standard that you see most everywhere (due to idiotic patent restrictions) is of the Lava Lite type, which range from average-to-terrible depending how your specific lamp scored during D20 QC rolls. This is no worse than the average ones (say 11 STR, 16 CHA?), but neither is it any better. Cheap base, very poor quality plastic materials excepting the two glass lamp canisters themselves which are heavy duty glass and were not cracked as far as I can tell. One of my two glass canisters (the glitter one) either had leaked a bit or had spillage from the factory. I didn't realize it was toxic and got some on my hands before I saw on the top of the canisters, "Avoid skin contact" -oops. The lamp's saving grace is that it's really beautiful during operation. The glitter is a constant stream of motion and the lava is exactly as you'd expect from a functioning lava lamp.If I have any reliability, functionality, or flammability problems I will definitely come back and update because I plan to be using this lamp all day every day until the end of days.

This is a very cool lava lamp. It arrived quickly and meets all expectations. Just be aware that it gets really hot and it will take over an hour to warm up enough for the wax to start moving.
