Just what I was looking for to fill my need. Limited options and difficult to find. I built a media room with projector and screen in my home. Since it's a rented home and there were no existing lights in the room, I didn't want to spend much money on a lighting system but i still wanted some sort of light control to work with my universal remote. Since the remote doesn't accept RF frequency for external lighting systems, I needed an IR lighting system to work with the table lamp in the room. The only thing i was concerned about, was whether the IR was going to be strong enough to pick-up the remote without having to point at it. Or vice-versa really. Well, pleasantly surprised and contrary to what the Lutron sales guy said when I asked him, I don't have to point my remote at it. It work beautifully. When I hit the "Turn on DVD" button on the remote everything comes on including the light. One more nice surprise, is that the light turns on gently, by reverse dimming. And turns off by dimming down. Much nicer and more mood enhancing for a theater room. Glad I spent the money. An inexpensive way to to have a lighting control system at your fingertips without paying a thousand dollars. Although I should point out, the fact that I don't have to point the remote at it, is probably due more to the remote quality picking up the IR blasters bouncing off the walls, since my projector works the same way.
