The reason that I gave it only four stars was because, IMHO, the shade sets a little too high on the lamp, so that at sitting height, one can see the bulbs underneath the shade somewhat annoying. If you're setting this on a low end table or in some other location where sitting eye height is not close to level with the bottom of the shade, then you probably won't have a problem. However, I found that I needed to lower the shade.
I did this by cutting the upper threaded tube to a 4-5/8" length, used a 1/8-27 die to add about 1/4" more threads, and then reassembled as low as I could get it. I had to make sure that the bulb arms were at the correct angle to get the bulbs into each corner for clearance, but it all worked. The shade is about an inch lower now which took care of the issue.
Overall, very happy with this lamp.
