Remembering lava lamps (or lites) from my childhood, I had been debating on a purchase for a time. In my research, I discovered most people consider the aesthetic appearance of a lava lamp its foremost quality of concern.

Bearing that in mind, the clear liquid combined with neon green lava in this lamp provide for excellent visibility! In a darkened room, the "lava" resembles glowing toxic waste.

The one downside: it takes 2-4 hours for the flow to really get going; longer in a cooler room. Once it is fully heated, it looks great! Calms the mind and is very relaxing to watch.

Really like the green lava. Looks great, works great....great green! We bought it for our 7 year old for Christmas.
