...as to whether it'll arrive broken or not. So far Amazon is batting .500 with these, for me. I ordered one and it arrived fine, protected only by its thin cardboard retail packaging box and packing paper inside a larger box together with several other items. I liked it and then ordered another. The second one arrived broken. They had shipped it alone in two boxes, but wrapped up so tightly, far too tightly, with layers and layers of a sticky bubble wrap such that any outside force at all would necessarily be transmitted to the object and that's what happened. Obviously whoever packed this does not understand packing and how force should be absorbed by it when it's properly done.
It would cost me more in time and trouble than the item is worth to return it. So for now I'll live with the hairline crack that runs from top to bottom and side to side, and when it breaks apart I'll just glue it...
