Great lamp! I originally bought this for my son for his dorm, but wound up keeping it for myself! I love that it has the iPad stand with a cutout for the home button. I'm able to keep this on my desk and watch my shows while I work! The compartments are great for push pins, paperclips, etc. I'll be buying another for my son. Don't hesitate to buy!

I like the color for my daughter's room, but when I put an energy-saving bulb in the socket it DOES NOT WORK. The lamp is made of chip plastic and if you put a wrong bulb in it the plastic will melt. We didn't notice the sticker on the inside telling you that max is 15W and placed a regular bulb, Within minutes the room smelled of burning plastic and the lamp melted a bit and changed it's shape. This is an excellent desk lamp! The lamp illuminates my whole desk. I use every one of the compartments for my various desk items (pens, stapler, white-out, etc). The crevice for the iPad is great. My Nexus 10 fits well in the slot. The angle of the slot is nice for reading & cross referencing information on the tablet screen. I would recommend to anyone who uses a desk.
