I purchased this lamp for use with tattooing.. and is how I will base my review of it.The light is bright, and has good coverage even when my hands and head are in the way. Moves around easy, both because of the rollers and the smooth action of the arm. The base is nice and heavy and wont allow the lamp to tip even at full reach. It also has the height and reach to get across my table/chair or even extend from behind me to over my client. Stays where I put it, doesn't sag or droop like others I have tried. Easy to wrap the arm behind the lamp head with some barrier film for a handle while tatting to keep cross contamination out.. and cleaning easy. I did not care about the magnifier until I used it.. It turned out great for examining my needles. I did not find that it got too hot as another reviewer said. I have had it right over my head for many hours with no problems.. unlike the incandescent lamp I used before. Instructions or assembly were sort of whacky, but easy enough to figure out. The Engrish instructions were quite comical.

this lamp was a great buy for the money. i checked the professional catalogs and amazons price was really good. i will always check amazons pricing first. the lamp assembly was easy to do. very pleased with purchase.
