The lamp is a thick porcelain which I like, it feels sturdy. The color I would describe as bronze not copper. On the plus side it came with a bulb that the description said was not included. The shade is what sold me and matches the design well. Overall I am happy with the product but disappointed in the color. Bronze goes with my color scheme but it doesn't pop out like copper would have. Just imagine what you see in the picture glazed in brown.
