This lamp is very heavy and solid, and gorgeous, just like the photo! It is a bit smaller than I expected, and is definitely more of an "ambience" light, than a reading light ...just like it says! I love it

These lamps are in our living room on two end tables and replaces larger bulkier lamps with large cloth lampshades. We looked for a contemporary style that did not have cloth lamp shades that were hard to keep clean and cat hair free. All surfaces are cleanable and they each have two independent pull cords to control the separate bulbs. Even though it looks sort of small and delicate, the base is much heavier than we ever even thought it could be making the whole lamp very stable and unable to be tipped over by any of our four cats.
