I was looking for a lamp that would fit in with the classic styling of my Queen Anne cherry wood sewing table. This fits the bill to a tee!!! It has a smooth, brushed stainless steel patina, with a classy crown molding type base. The light housing, to my pleasant surprise, is encased with a plastic covering which make the lighting soft, not glaring like those in uncovered piano lamps. Although the lamp is compact and fits very nicely in a corner of my sewing table, the felt bottomed-base is solid and heavy. Thereby assuring that the lamp will not tip over.
The photograph does not begin to show how beautiful this lamp is!! And, I am pleased as punch that I got it at such an affordable price!! Thank you, Amazon.com!!Perfect size for a desk lamp with two adjustment points. The finish has a high quality appearance and throws the right amount of light on the work surface.
